Maria Cirillo is passionate about public education and is employed by the of Education as an English teacher at a public high school where a large majority of students are from low income households. She has extensive experience in organising, campaigning and advocacy, having worked for 16 years in public sector unions. Four of these years were as the Director of Organising at the Public Service Association of NSW. She further worked in the climate space as the Deputy Director of Solar Citizens. She has lived in Five Dock for 5 years with her partner Steve and family of 4 young adult children, 3 dogs and 4 cats.

She plans to work with our team to ensure that residents have a strong voice on council policies that help to build our council’s resilience to the changing climate, addressing the cost of living crisis, and improving our natural and built environments.

David Mansford has worked as a sales manager in the media industry for the past 15 years. He grew up in Concord and has been a City of Canada Bay resident for over 40 years. David and his wife have been raising their two children in Concord West since 2012. He is presently living in Liberty Grove but will be relocating back to Liberty Grove.

David has been a volunteer member of Council’s Environmental Advisory Committee since 2022. David is committed to helping to make the City of Canada Bay clean, safe and liveable for residents and for nature. He is a member of many local sporting and community clubs.
